Darksiders #2 Out Now!

Written by Nathyn Brendan Masters
Art by Joseph Canave
Colors by Maldad

Epitaph: Darksiders is out right now! For those that have been following along, issue one took place after Epitaph: Beginning of the End as Damious picked his bride to be from a scandalous group of chosen for him by the Sisterhood of Lilith. But his choice definitely will make him future enemies.

Also Loren took her flavor of the month back to her place for a little adult fun, but as we all know, it didn't work out that way, instead it ended it with Gary's death at the hands of Loren.

Issue #2 takes places hours after Gary's death with Victor seeking out Loren to question her about the powerful wave of magic that's been unleashed and bumping into his seductive and ex Susan.

Meanwhile Loren call's on the help of Owl Wiess, a clean-up woman that works for various members of the Darksiders, including her family. But what price will Loren have to pay to hide Gary's death and not end up being the next celebrity on trail for murder.

This is the second issue in the three part mini series leading up to "Epitaph: The Series" and the "Victor Locke: Demon Hunter" comic. This series also crosses over with the "Epitaph: Abiding Lilith" mini-series.

If Ya Havin' Demon Problems I feel Bad fa Ya Son...

The art for Victor Locke: Demon Hunter issue #1 is done and with a hot cover by Oren Kramek (a.k.a Oren K) we know you're going to want to grab this one when it hits the shelves in 2013. Vladymir Aludard relocates Alucard Industries to Chicago with Lady Bathory in tow. As they make their home in the unsuspecting city Vlad readies her to become a general in Hell's army that she may be as powerful as he is. Currently we're hard at work on "Epitaph: Darksiders #2" and "Epitaph: The Series" which are both almost done.

Also check out Dulce de Ojo: THE MAGAZINE which showcased the first half of the "Epitaph: Abiding Lilith" story. It's a very cool art magazine in the tradition of Heavy Metal" so grab a copy if you have a chance.

Some people have been a bit curious about what will drop this year as we seemed to have stalled last year, but we do have big plans for 2012. I'm in the process of knocking out the rest of the ABL series, (only two more books to go), the art for the "Vampire Alliance" oneshot is done and we're looking at a possible "Night Phoenix" #1 once we get a good superhero artist.

On top of all this I'm writing again. I just finished editing my novel "Midrash Express" which is a Blackrayne sequel and is available for digital download and in paperback form, so check it out. The digital version is only $1.99 so it's a steal.

And I know people have been asking about digitally downloading the comics, but we're still waiting for IndyPlanet and their digital platform to get up and running. They're moving a lot of things over there so it's going to take some time, probably by the end of 2012 they'll have it fully set up.  Other than this, keep watching out for our books and don't forget about the Epitaph: Bread and Salt film.

New Cover for BOE

Epitaph: Beginning of the End, will now sport a new cover. This is a redrawn version of the original but now it features not only Locke and Ashen, but now includes Nightevil, ZombieGirl and Loren at the bottom where Hanover Blake once was. The cover was drawn by series artist Joseph Canave who will also be drawing the first of the Night Phoenix books.

In the meantime be on the look out for more Night Phoenix Press books including "Abiding Lilith: Alpha" and "Darksiders Issue #2". Plus, as mentioned, the long awaited "Night Phoenix" special.

Also we will be upgrading our Facebook group which is slated to be archived, to the new FB group model so please be on the look out for that. I'll be back with more information as soon as it's know.

Also we are still working on the Epitaph movie. It's taken longer than any of the first two films we've done, but it's still in effect so keep an eye out for more news on that which should be coming your way soon. And please email us if you like our books. We know you're ordering, but we want some feedback too so drop us a line.

ABIDIING LILITH IS BACK!!!

Cover for "Abiding Lilith Redux #1"
ABL is nearing end of the production phaze. Abiding Lilith is the story of the Sisterhood of Lilith and their evil plans to spread disease and birth demonic evils. This issue retells the story of those who worked for the Sisterhood as spreaders and have now either turned their backs on the organization or been turn on by the sisterhood.

In this issue, Naomi a former prostitute who joined the SOL and became a spreader is now working as a file clerk in an office. She is visited by Eon Drax a.k.a Decoy, who is believed by most to be a vampire, but she's knows who and what he is.

Eon is on the trail of The Sisterhood and wants to take them down at all cost. This book also continues the story of the young athlete Gill Savani, who died violently, but no one knows the cause. Eon knows it was magic and wants to track down the killer, but is also on the case of three new spreaders carrying a deadly new STD.

For answers to all his questions he will turn to Jill Morgan, a woman who made it to the upper levels of the order then left them. And on top of all this, children are disappearing in Chicago and a large bat-like creature is said to have been at the scene. But is the creature real? And what is it? You'll find out soon.

This issue will also feature an appearance by Adonijah Washington, the man known as the company namesake "Night Phoenix" and is the first story drawn and written by Nathyn Brendan Masters. Colors will be by our hot new colorist Maldad.

The Darksiders #1 Comic Book in production...

Hey everyone, we're in production on the first issue of the Darksiders miniseries. This continues the story from the "Beginning of the End" one shot. In this issue the demoness called Aba'rell is given a jump code to allow her to interfere in earthly affairs. Damious will chose his wife and Loren and Gary go on their first actual date, but it's what happens when they go back to her place that will sit off a series of horrific events.

How do all these events fit together? Well I guess you have to pick up the first issue of "Epitaph: The Darksiders" which will be in our online store early next year.

The cover is by Von Everette done after one of her and my favorite artist Michael Turner (RIP) and colored by Kayla Swain. The inside art will by by series regular Joseph Canave. (Apologies to him for the name mishap) with colors by hot new colorist Tricia Cunningham. Keep an eye out for her, she's throwing down some great colors. And good luck to our homegirl Kayla whose back in school.

Also there will be an issue #2 of Abiding Lilith. We toyed with the idea of redoing the first issue with all new art to match up to what we're currently doing as the art in that issue is about two years old from the first run of books, but we came to a decision that people who bought that issue would feel like they've paid twice for the same story since the story hasn't really changed. There is talk of a possible artboard cover edition that can be sent in to us and Nathyn Masters himself will do an original drawing right on the cover.
